Introduction. Walnut growing is a complex of scientific, industrial and business measures for the development of walnut crops. Walnut growing is the most profitable branch of agricultural production. The development of industrial walnut growing in the country is of great importance for the implementation of the Food Program. Among nutbearing breeds in terms of a set of useful indicators, and first of all fruits, walnuts occupy a special place. From the very beginning of the mining and forest reclamation work in Uzbekistan (at the end of the eighties of the last century), the common nut was introduced into the range of forest crops. All subsequent years and up to the present time, walnuts are given a priority place in the assortment locally, depending on the requirements of its biological and ecological characteristics to forest growing conditions. In addition to soil and water protection role, walnut forests are a major base for the production of valuable products.
